New Athlon 64
Don't you love impulse buying. I was in CompUSA because a friend wanted a laptop, so as I was wandering the store, those little impulse buys started filling my cart.
I got:
1. An Asus A8N-SLI motherboard (very nice - with PCI-x, SATA, Athlon 64 socket 939, Dual Gigabit LAN, and more)
2. An Athlon 64 3200+ socket 939
3. 2 sticks 512 Mb DDR 400
4. A Super Lanboy case - all aluminum with case window and screw tray - front usb and audio connectors - includes carrying straps.
5. Antec TruePower 430w power supply (the nicest PS I've ever owned).
6. PCI Geforce FX 5500 dual vga - I don't care about gaming performance, but I do want multi-head capabilities.
I already had one 120 Gb harddrive, one 160 Gb harddrive, and a dual layer dvd burner to complete the system.
Now I just have to install linux on the thing.
